Riot Audio have announced a new plucks and mallets Kontakt instrument. Hang on, it’s a lot more interesting than it sounds – and not just because they’ve used the word ‘bionic’ in its title. Bionic Plucks and Mallets (see, told you) uses a “transient splicing engine” to give you far more control over nitty gritty parameters, giving the collection a transient edge and helping make it suitable for genres you might plucking well believe, including “electronica, hip hop and R&B, as well as cinematic styles”. Look, they’re called ‘Riot Audio’, for goodness sake. We’re not arguing with them.
